Clear your calendars as this Saturday, June 8th is World Gin Day!

Gin fever has truly taken over the country, with the Irish Spirits Association reporting that it was the third most popular spirit in Ireland last year after whiskey and vodka. The delicious spirit is also one of the most popular spirits around the world, with a whopping 60 million cases of gin sold every year, half of which is consumed in the Philippines alone.

Considering how well-loved gin is around the globe, it's exciting to hear that World Gin Day will take place again this year on Saturday, June 8th. It looks like the spirit will take over the planet this weekend, with events taking place all over the world, including a botanical gin bus tour in Byron Bay, Australia, a bartending competition in Manila in the Philippines, a bottomless afternoon G&T in the UK. Head to the World Gin Day website to find out more about the events taking place around the world this weekend.
