Whiskey Hot Chocolate

Whiskey Hot ChocolateHarry Weir

This is so thick it’s more like chocolate soup. I eat this with a spoon. It is quite rich so this portion could also serve four people in small espresso cups

  • 150g dark chocolate
  • 150ml water
  • 25g caster sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cornflour
  • 50ml whiskey

  1. Chop up the chocolate. Add it to the water and sugar. Place it in a saucepan and melt over a low heat.
  2. Pour the water and sugar into a saucepan and add the cornflour. Whisk until the cornflour is dissolved. Cook over a medium heat, whisking all the time until it comes to the boil.
  3. Break up the chocolate and begin stirring until the chocolate is completely melted. Then add in the shot of whiskey.

Tip: Instead of making this with water you can make it with coffee
