Seven Of The Best Rooftop Bars In Dublin

Rooftop bars in Dublin that are perfect for summer

SHARE

A summer spent sipping rose on a sunny outdoor terrace is a great summer indeed, and luckily Dublin has its fair share of rooftop bars to frequent on these long evenings. Our favourites?

1. The Marker Hotel

The ultimate in class, the rooftop at The Marker sees people queuing for entry on sunny days before it's even opened, so get down early to ensure you get a spot. Views look out over Grand Canal Dock and cocktails are simply excellent.

2. Sophie's

The hip rooftop terrace at The Dean Hotel, Sophie's offers 360 degree sweeping views of the city and a BBQ that's available to hire for private parties. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner daily with a brunch menu on the weekends and a buzz that goes on long after sunset.

3. Taphouse

Nestled in Ranelagh is a charming spot to settle in for some craft beer on tap and birds-eye view over the village. Bar bites are tasty and the Taphouse boasts the added benefit of being that little bit outside of the city - so chances of getting a space outside are high.

4. Vintage Cocktail Club

What's behind that black door in Temple Bar? Ring the bell to find a Speakeasy-style cocktail bar with a semi-covered rooftop area. The Vintage Cocktail Club serves up an extensive menu of spirits and specially crafted, award winning cocktails using the finest seasonal ingredients, as well as a menu of delectable bites.

Although we're known for our clandestine door and candle lit rooms we like to have the option to enjoy the Sunshine on the rare occasion it makes an appearance. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #VintageCocktailClub #RingOurBell #VintageStyle #SpeakEasy #TempleBar #DublinCity #DublinBars #craftcocktails #classicocktails #CocktailsAndDreams #homebartenders #cocktailoftheday #liquorgram #drinkstagram #cocktailhour #cocktailphotography #liqpic #bartendersbible #ImbibeGram #libations #firstroundonus #cocktailporn #igersDublin #Ireland #igersireland #DublinDaily #DublinCity #DublinBars

5. Fade Street Social

Located above Dylan McGrath's Fade Street restaurant, this terrace offers views of red brick Georgian buildings from every angle. Fade Street Social is the place to go for an Aperitivo before dinner and an Espresso Martini afterwards.

6. Layla's

Layla's at The Devlin in Ranelagh is definitely of the best rooftop bars in Dublin. With the terrace's panoramic views that highlight the chimney pots of Ranelagh as well as the Dublin mountains. The cocktails are delicious and if the Irish weather makes an appearance, the cosy interior with its open kitchen and pizza oven is the place to be.

7. No Name Bar

Snail Bar, The Bar With No Name or simply No Name Bar - this popular bar has been one of Dublin's best loved secrets since it opened almost 10 years ago. A circus tent in the outside area provides shade from the sun and a chic interior complete with Helmut Lang photographs and cocktails is ideal for when it gets cooler outside.
