Our food cravings have inspired this list, based on recipes we've been posting on the site lately. The dishes below are ones we know we'll cook again and again, so try them out with us and let us know what you think.

Broccoli rabe and squash lasagne

If you have any meatless-meal sceptics in your life, this lasagne will change their mind - trust us. Although you can use pretty much any vegetable you like in a vegetarian lasagne, the combination of broccoli rabe and butternut squash is a match made in heaven. Paired with pasta, béchamel sauce and ricotta cheese, the end result is a super flavorful, nutrient-dense, veggie-packed lasagna. This lasagna might not be the quickest weeknight option around, but it is a reasonably simple recipe that will absolutely satisfy your comfort food cravings. Get the recipe here.

On cold, wet, windy evenings (which this week will have plenty of), there's nothing quite like a succulent, slow-cooked stew. This recipe takes it to the next level by topping the stew with a layer of potatoes, browned to perfection with salted butter. This lamb stew hot pot uses a shoulder of lamb but you can also use the neck of lamb or gigot chops to make this stew. Simply ask your butcher to cut it into 1 ½cm slices for you. Vegan spiced black bean, kale and squash laksa

This Laksa curry is super flavorful, anti-inflammatory and truly delightful. The paste can be made at home and used whenever you want a quick bowl of soup or simple stir fry. Using spices you most likely already have in the cupboard to form the base of the paste, it is then roasted in a little oil to release the flavours. The paste, coconut milk and noodles are brought to a boil and simmered until the noodles are tender and the soup thickens. Fold in some toasted sesame seeds, mint and fresh coriander and serve. Fresh turmeric root adds the bright colour to this laksa paste but you can use ground turmeric if you cannot find the fresh root. This dish is warming and it won’t leave you hungry, thanks to a generous topping of flat rice noodles, butternut squash, cooked beans and kale. Get the recipe here. 

Chicken, spring onion and cheddar quesadillas

You don't really need a recipe to make this insanely popular Mexican dish. Top a tortilla with cheese (and whatever else you've got), then fold it in half and cook until the tortilla is crispy and the cheese is melty. But if you're looking for some guidance, especially in cooking up some quick and easy chicken to stuff inside, this recipe won't let you down. Get the recipe here. 

Slow-cooker beef brisket ragu

Over the years, the slow cooker has become a kitchen staple—and for good reason. By doing a little prep early, you get to return to a perfectly cooked ready-to-eat meal, which is perfect for those busy weeknights. This ragu is incredibly easy to make, cheap and is ideal for batch cooking. After all, it is beef brisket, simmered in crushed tomatoes, garlic, basil and oregano, seasoned with salt and pepper, and drowning in red wine.
