It’s Monday again, so it’s time for our weekly round-up.
There are lots of events taking place around the country over the next seven days, so read on to find out what you should get up to this week.
Raven Bar Gets Four Stars, The Raven Bar, Cork
Monday, April 29th. Tickets: €225
This event isn't happening this week, but we had to include it so that you could get tickets ASAP. Four of Ireland's Michelin-starred chefs, Ross Lewis from Chapter One, Takashi Miyazaki from Ichigo Ichie, Rob Krawczyk from Restaurant Chestnut and Ahmet Dede from Mews West Cork, will come together this month to help raise money for Cork homeless charities Cork Simon and Penny Dinners. For €225, guest will enjoy a four-course dinner at The Raven Bar in Cork prepared by these four amazing chefs, plus wine pairings. Each chef will prepare a snack and a single course for the evening, but the menu, which will have local, seasonal produce at its heart, will remain a surprise until guests arrive. Côte de Beaune Dinner at Dax Restaurant, Dublin 2
Thursday, April 11th at 7pm. Tickets: €175
Olivier and Graham of Dax Restaurant on Pembroke Street will welcome Lauriane André and Jérôme Desprès from Domaine des Terregelesses - Françoise André to Dax this Thursday for an evening of fine food and Côte de Beaune wines. Lauriane and Jérôme will introduce six of their best wines to match head chef Graham Neville’s four-course seasonal dinner. To book tickets, email [email protected]
Spanish Wine Week at Cava Bodega, Galway
Monday 8th - Sunday 14th April
Spanish Wine Week is taking place all throughout the country this week (check out our full guide here) and Cava Bodega is celebrating by matching natural, organic wines with local Irish shellfish tapas cooked with an Iberian influence. Each tapa and natural wine pairing costs €8, or choose a flight of three natural Spanish wines for €12. For more information, head to Cava Bodega’s website.

The Ennis Whiskey Experience Tour, Clare
Thursday, April 11th at 8pm. Tickets: €37.32
Whiskey expert Eric Flynn will guide visitors through a whiskey tasting experience in Ennis, Co. Clare this week. Participants will visit four pubs and try four different whiskeys while learning more about the craft of whiskey-making and Ennis itself. For tickets, head to Eventbrite.

Meet the Makers at Momo Restaurant, Waterford
Tuesday, April 9th at 6.30pm. Tickets: €31.92
This Tuesday will see Momo Restaurant play host to a special wine evening with Sylvie Courselle, oenologist from Château Thieuley. Sylvie will share her wine knowledge while guiding guests through a tasting of four of her best wines. Tapas-style dishes created by head chef Michal Buchta will accompany the wines. Public Talk With Currabinny Duo James Kavanagh and William Murray, Blessington Library, Wicklow
Friday, April 12th. Free entry.
The pair behind the wildly successful Currabinny Cookbook, James Kavanagh and William Murray, will hold a public talk at the Blessington Library this week as part of Wicklow’s Way With Words literature festival. The duo will be chatting all things food, including recipe tips and tricks, as well as offering insight into how to use social media to found a business platform. This event is free but pre-registration is required.
