We are so lucky to live on an island packed with amazing food! Amazing restaurants are popping up all over Ireland and this week has been no exception- These two fab new spots are ones that you will definitely want to visit soon.
Merrow at Pálás, Lower Merchant's Road, Galway
Merrow, named for mythical Irish mermaids, is Galway's newest eatery. Having officially opened on October 1st, the restaurant is located in the Latin Quarter's Pálás building, which also houses a three screen independent cinema.
The menu at Merrow, created by head chef Liga Jarovoja, centres around locally-sourced, seasonal ingredients inspired by the West of Ireland with an Eastern European twist. Aiming to redefine pre and post-cinema dining, the food should appeal to both locals and visitors alike with firm favourites like confit duck, hake with chorizo and Angus steak mushroom wellington featured on the expansive menu.
Speaking about the new addition to the Pálás, Andrew Lowe of Element Pictures commented:
"We are delighted to be now launching Merrow led by the brilliant Liga Jarovoja and Bronagh Beattie and their able team. Their talent, skill and passion will deliver an amazing dining experience and immeasurably enhance a night out at Pálás for Galwegians and visitors alike.”
Merrow looks set to be a perfect addition to the Galway dining scene and we can't to try it. Find out more about Merrow here.
