Just Eat have revealed the latest stats on Irish take-away trends.
Although unsurprisingly Chinese food remains the most popular cuisine to order in, Irish consumers have embraced ethnic foods wholeheartedly. Orders in Lebanese food has grown by 113%, Nepalese by 75%, Asian by 52% and Japanese by 51%.
The health food kick seems to be staying strong with vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free meals enjoying a steady rise in popularity this year. Vegan pizza, korma and falafel bowls are high on the Just Eat request list and with options like Camile Thai and Chopped, it's not hard to see why. Lunch orders have increased by 50% as plenty of customers use the app to order ahead, avoiding the lunchtime queues and perhaps being tempted into less healthy options when the hunger hits.
