Oliver Dunne, chef patron at Bon Appetit, Beef & Lobster and Cleaver East bought The Donnybrook, formerly O'Connell's, last year. After turning the venue into a ski chalet for Christmas, Dunne has reopened the pub as The Donnybrook, which is described as a 'neighbourhood gastropub'. Divided into a bar and restaurant area, the pub plans to screen sporting events, host live music and offer delicious casual food, plus a classic Sunday roast. Bookings can be made online at www.thedonnybrookgastropub.ie, or by phoning (01) 269 6116.
