Seedlip, the world’s first non-alcoholic distilled spirit, launched its new citrus-based blend Grove 42 at The Grayson in Dublin this week.
Combining three types of orange with spicy undertones, Seedlip Grove 42 is a fresh new offering from the bespoke non-alcoholic brand and joins existing flavours, Garden 108 and Spice 94.
For the launch, Seedlip teamed up with Lens & Larder and The Grayson to create the perfect evening to showcase the brand. Lens & Larder, which was founded by Imen McDonnell and Cliodhna Prendergast, worked with the team at The Grayson to curate a dinner that complemented Seedlip Grove 42’s flavours. The four-course meal consisted of wild garlic and stinging nettle soup, citrus sorbet, wild halibut with lemon beurre blanc and asparagus, followed by rhubarb pavlova with lemongrass cream for dessert.
To highlight the spirit’s zesty orange and mandarin notes, Seedlip’s European brand ambassador Stewart Howard was on-hand to create a range of cocktails using Grove 42. They included a gimlet-inspired dessert cocktail and a verjuice and Seedlip-based cocktail.
Seedlip was created by Ben Branson as a way to create a tasty non-alcoholic drink made from the peas on his family’s farm. The spirit is now stocked in some of the world’s best restaurants, bars and hotels, as well as off-licences including O’Briens Wines, Redmonds of Ranelagh and more.
