Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall's River Cottage is turning 20 this year and to celebrate, we have a pair of tickets to give away to the legendary River Cottage Food Fair.
From the first series ‘Escape to River Cottage’ which hit our TV screens in March 1999, Hugh - chef, broadcaster, campaigner and writer - has prioritised growing food that is sustainable and environmentally conscious. Over the past 20 years, River Cottage has cemented itself as one of the UK's best-known cookery schools.
Each year River Cottage hosts a Food Fair. This year's celebration looks set to be bigger than ever, jam-packed with cooking, demos, growing, tours and (most importantly) eating. Hugh has curated a line-up of stellar food talent and speakers including Yottam Ottolenghi, Kate Humble and Samin Nosrat to provide thought-provoking debate and discussions. The usual suspects of the talented River Cottage team including Gill Meller, Steven Lamb and John Wright will be at the festival too, highlighting the great work done at River Cottage.
This hugely popular, family annual event is a food lover’s dream and a chance to learn new culinary skills, get up close to the animals as well as being treated to wonderful entertainment such as chef demos, cooking over fire in the new BBQ area, artisan food stalls, craft workshops, masterclasses, talks and live music.

Today is a special day at River Cottage. It’s the first of our events to celebrate 20 years since River Cottage first came on our screens. Our guests are gathered at River Cottage HQ, and will be spending the day eating their way through 20 of our favourite dishes cooked by our Executive Head Chef @gelfalderson . They will also be joining Hugh, Gill, Steve and our new Head Gardener Helen Musgrave, to enjoy an afternoon and evening of talks, demos and feasting, to celebrate 20 glorious years. This is the first of a year long programme of events which we very much hope you join us to enjoy. #rivercottage #hughfearnleywhittingstall #rivercottageat20
