Gluten-free almond waffles with orange glaze

Add a little fruit, some butter and syrup and you've got yourself a delicious and satisfying gluten-free breakfast - perfect for just about any day of the week!

  • 1 cup almond flour
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • 1 lightly beaten egg
  • ¼ cup milk
  • ⅛ tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp sugar

Orange glaze: 

  • 1-2 tbsp orange juice
  • ½ cup icing sugar


  1. Mix dry ingredients into a medium bowl. Add egg and milk, stir to combine.
  2. Attach upper and lower waffle plates onto your grill. Lightly oil waffle plates and preheat to 200°C.
  3. Spoon batter onto bottom waffle plate and spread the batter with a spoon to evenly distribute over the plates. Close lid and cook 6 to 8 minutes or until waffle is done.
  4. For the glaze, whisk together ½ cup icing sugar and 1-2 tbsp orange juice for glaze topping.
