One of Ireland's most-loved cookbook authors, Clodagh McKenna, has had another big hit with her latest cookbook Clodagh's Suppers. We've got two delicious recipes from it for you to try at home.
We've all been there... You invite friends over for dinner, you try to impress but have never tried the recipe before and disaster strikes, or you spend more time in the kitchen sweating then you do enjoying your friends' company. Nightmare.
Thankfully, the wonderful Clodagh McKenna has written a book that is a guide to how to get entertaining right and have fun too. Clodagh throws supper parties all the time herself and loves entertaining, so the book is a perfect way to pass on all her tips.
There are over 120 recipes in Clodagh's Suppers, divided by seasons so you'll be able to entertain all year round. You will also get inspiration for delish cocktails, tips for table setting and menus. A perfect recipe for impressed guests!
Here are two recipes from the new book to get you started.
"These galettes are so easy to make. Once you have prepared the pastry, it really is only a matter of spooning the rhubarb in the centre and popping them in the oven," Clodagh explains.
"For me, this is real comfort food, as I grew up in Ireland, and bacon chops with colcannon were a staple at home," Clodagh says, adding, "You can use regular fresh white breadcrumbs if you don’t have soda bread."
