Snacks are usually a savour affair, but we've discovered a delectably sweet take on the humble healthy grape - soaked in prosecco and Cointreau and sprinkled with sugar.

Asda Good Living shared the recipe for these homemade treats and we have a feeling we'll be making this as a boozy snack for the rest of the summer.

  • 500g red grapes
  • 500ml prosecco
  • 100ml Cointreau
  • 75g caster sugar

Follow the simple method below:

  • Tip the grapes into a non-metallic bowl. Pour over the prosecco and Cointreau and chill in the fridge for at least 1 hr, and up to 3 hrs.

  • Tip the caster sugar into a shallow bowl. Remove the grapes from the prosecco and Cointreau mixture with a slotted spoon and transfer to a colander. (The leftover prosecco mixture makes a wonderfully refreshing party drink – just mix with lemonade and ice.)

  • Wash and drain the grapes and lightly pat dry with kitchen paper. Roll in the caster sugar until well coated and transfer to a serving dish. Serve immediately.
