Pichet, Dublin's modern French bistro, turns 10 this year and the team are hosting a range of events next month to celebrate.
Pichet first opened in July 2009 and has been serving up French-influenced cuisine made with the finest Irish ingredients ever since.
Chef Patron Stephen Gibson has been at the helm of the restaurant since day one, which opened during the tough times of the recession. Initially working off a shoestring budget, the restaurant was awarded a Bib Gourmand from the Michelin Guide in its first year, which it has retained every year since. 10 years on, Pichet has fully cemented itself as one of Dublin's favourite restaurants, thanks to its friendly staff and delicious food.
To celebrate its 10th birthday, a range of birthday events will take place at Pichet next month from Tuesday, July 2nd to Sunday, July 14th. First up, on July 2nd, Pichet will officially celebrate its 10th birthday with a classic menu full of favourites from the past 10 years, including suckling pig, lobster burger and crispy hen's egg. Guests will also be treated to a complimentary slice of birthday cake and a Hennessy cocktail to toast the restaurant's birthday.
On July 6th, Pichet will host a Veuve Clicquot Champagne for just €35 per person. Tickets, which can be bought on Eventbrite, include a three-course brunch with two glasses of Champagne. Then, on July 9th, The Ginstitute at the bar in Pichet will host a Tanqueray masterclass with Diageo Reserve Brand Ambassadors where guests will taste a range of gins, including the brand new Tanqueray Flor De Sevilla, a unique distilled gin made with Sevilla orange essences and other botanicals. Tickets for this one-off event are priced at €20 and are on sale now via Eventbrite.
Finally, on Sunday, July 14th, chef Stephen will host a Friends of Pichet event with Adam Purcell, who worked at Pichet before joining the team at Michelin-starred Frenchie, Rue du Nil in Paris and Frenchie Covent Garden. This five-course dining experience comes in at €65 per person or €100 with wine pairings. Click here for tickets and more information.
Happy birthday Pichet! We can't wait to see what the next 10 years hold for this Dublin restaurant.
