With gin, cheese and wine advent calendars popping up everywhere, we're certainly delighted that they are not just for kids anymore! (Okay, they can have cheese, but they're not getting our gin and wine!)

A classic festive tradition, advent calendars help to count down the days until Christmas. Usually filled with chocolates, the calendars are mainly enjoyed by children, with favourites including Cadbury's Dairy Milk and the classic €2 shop bargain variety.

We’ve noticed so many new styles of advent calendars appearing on shelves that we decided to do a round-up of our favourites – hopefully you can get your hands on them before they disappear!

Joe & Seph’s Popcorn Advent Calendar

Joe & Seph’s, otherwise known as the tastiest bespoke popcorn around, have released the world’s first popcorn advent calendar this year. The exterior of the calendar looks like a Victorian shopfront and has 24 four doors that contain snack-sized packs of the artisan treat. The calendar contains 12 flavours, from their classics (fingers crossed for our favourite, double salted caramel!) to brand new Joe & Seph’s flavours like Banoffee Pie, Cookies & Cream and Chocolate Orange.

The calendar costs £25 and can be purchased from Joe & Seph’s online store.
