It's that time of year again where you get to have your say... vote for your favourite restaurant, café, restaurant manager, chef and more in the 2019 FOOD&WINE Awards, in association with Rémy Martin.
The most highly-anticipated awards for the hospitality industry were announced recently and as of Monday, nominations went live on our website. The 2019 FOOD&WINE Awards in association with Rémy Martin is our way of honouring those in restaurants across the country who are devoted to giving us the best food experiences on the island.
Now in its 19th year, the awards first took place in The Shelbourne and it is here they return to this year for the award ceremony on Sunday, 25th August. But first, we need your help to ensure that all of the people who deserve recognition are voted for and considered for accolades by our National Judging Panel in June.
There are 32 awards to be given out this year, two of which are the big, overall awards for Ireland's Best Chef and Best Restaurant – these much-coveted titles are for truly outstanding talent, skill and service within the last year and previous winners have included: Best Chef – Andy McFadden and team, Glover's Alley, Ross Lewis, Chapter One, Stephen Toman, OX, Mikael Viljanen, The Greenhouse, Kevin Thornton, Thornton's, Garret Byrne, Campagne; and Best Restaurant: Restaurant Patrick Guilbaud, Chapter One, Thornton's, Gregan's Castle, MacNean's House, Deane's... Who will win this year?

You'll find all of the usual categories to nominate this year and to make it easy we've broken them down into three sections:
- Regional Awards – Nominate for Best Chef and Best Restaurant in Dublin, Connacht, Leinster, Ulster and Munster.
- National Restaurant Awards – Nominate your favourite restaurants, cafés, wine bars and pubs, and the Readers' Choice is a wild card option that allows you to vote for anywhere else that deserves a nod, including perhaps a cool pop-up that had everyone queuing for or a takeaway that you want every weekend. Judging of this category will then be handed over to you to vote for online in June.
- National People Awards – These awards are all about the hard-working people who make your experience special, from chefs who create the most fantastic dishes to the friendliest servers who made your night, or perhaps an Irish chef abroad who has everyone booking flights!
Nominations are open until Friday, 7th June, so make sure and get your votes in ASAP. Just click HERE to begin voting!
