In another bright moment for the Irish food and hospitality industry, chef and presenter Mark Moriarty has revealed there’s a third series of Beyond the Menu coming to our screens later in the year.
The show, airing this autumn on RTÉ One, will see Moriarty chatting to some of the top chefs in Ireland, showcasing their creativity, skill and dedication as well as discussing the challenges facing the industry.
Beyond the Menu first aired in 2019 and in 2020 Moriarty revisited the chefs featured in series 1 for Beyond the Menu: Reset, a two-part special focusing on how they were coping with the Covid-19 restrictions. The programme provided a unique behind-the-scenes insight into the impact the pandemic and the lockdowns were having on the industry and those working within it.
For series three Moriarty has once again rounded up some of the best young talents in the country. This time he'll be talking to Ian Doyle of The House Restaurant at Cliff House Hotel, Jess Murphy of Kai Galway ( FOOD&WINE’s resident chef), Mike Tweedie of Adare Manor, Ahmet Dede of Customs House Baltimore, Gráinne Mullins of Grá Chocolates and Mickael Viljanen, formerly of The Greenhouse and now Chapter One by Mickael Viljanen. It's sure to be a fascinating insight into where the food industry is at the moment - and, hopefully, the exciting times ahead as restrictions begin to lift and restaurants open their doors once more.
Beyond the Menu series three is due on our screens in the autumn - we'll keep you posted on when it's due to air closer to the time.
