The team behind Sheridans Cheesemongers has announced that they will be opening a new store in Naas, County Kildare this August.
The new store will join the numerous Sheridans Cheesemongers stores that are located around the country in Dublin, Meath, Galway, Waterford and Cork. The new store will be located in the Naas Dunnes Stores, similar to several other Sheridans Cheesemongers, including the Dunnes Stores Cornelscourt branch that was awarded Specialist Cheese Shop of the Year 2019 by the UK by the Guild of Fine Food earlier this year.
Sheridans Cheesemongers partnered with Dunnes Store in 2015 to create a cheese counter for their Stephens Green location and, since then, the collaboration has grown to include a further nine locations around the country. Since the collaboration began in 2015, Sheridans has seen a 50% increase in the sale of Irish Farmhouse cheeses, which has had a huge impact on small cheesemakers around Ireland.

Sheridans Cheesemongers was set up by brothers Kevin and Seamus Sheridan in 1995 with a farmhouse cheese stall at the Galway Market before the pair opened a store in Galway. Fiona Corbett joined the team in 1997 and shortly after stores around the country were opened, stocked high with cheeses from Ireland and further afield.
Speaking about the new store in Naas, Kevin said that the team are excited to venture to a new location.
"I am so delighted that Sheridans Cheesemongers will be part of the vibrant town of Naas. We are looking forward to meeting all of our loyal customers from the area and gathering some new ones.’’
