The first episode in a new six-part documentary taking a look behind the scenes at kitchens all over Ireland will air tonight on RTÉ.
Helmed by chef Mark Moriarty, winner of San Pellegrino Young Chef Of The Year 2015 competition, Beyond The Menu will take a closer look at the Irish food scene, highlighting the creativity and talent that is present in kitchens around the country. As well as showing the incredible highs associated with service, the series will not shy away from the industry's challenges.
Throughout the six episodes, Mark will travel all over the country to spend time with chefs, both in and out of the kitchen. Highlighting each chef's incredible food, as well as how they have come to succeed in their careers, this new series will give viewers an exclusive look inside the minds of Ireland's chefs. Mark will also collaborate with each chef to host a pop up for one-night-only.

Each episode, which was filmed over three days, will highlight a different chef. Tonight's episode will see Mark journey to Roscarberry in West Cork to take a look inside Mark Jennings' Pilgrim's restaurant. Other chefs taking part in the series include our Best Chef Under 30 Gráinne O'Keefe from Clanbrassil House, Ciaran Sweeney from Forest & Marcy, Holly Dalton from Gertrude, Rob Krawczyk from Chestnut and Jordan Bailey from Aimsir.
The series will show how casual and fine-dining restaurants around the country are changing the food scene, one dish at a time. Throughout the series, Mark will highlight the immense work and creativity that goes into each dish, learning a little bit from each amazing chef.
Beyond The Menu airs on RTÉ One tonight at 7.30pm.
