LEON Ireland has announced that its second location will open on Millennium Walkway, Dublin next month.
Promoted as 'the home of naturally fast food', LEON opened its first Irish location in Temple Bar last year to much excitement. The venue was part of a grand plan from investors Stuart Fitzgerald, Alan O’Neill and Brian McIntyre to open 20 stores nationwide within four years.
When we spoke to managing director Stuart Fitzgerald last April ahead of the grand opening, he told us that LEON's second location would be open within the year in Dundrum Town Centre. That prediction didn't come to fruition in the end, however, as 2019 finished up with only one LEON outlet in Ireland.
This week, the team behind LEON finally announced their plans for the second LEON restaurant, which will open on Millennium Walkway, Dublin 1 on February 11th.

To celebrate opening their first Northside store, LEON Ireland has announced a competition that will give winners free food for a year. To be in with a chance to win, head to LEON Millennium Walkway and snap a shot of yourself in front of the brand's iconic angel wings. Post the shot to your social media, tag @leonirel and you could be in with a chance to win free food for a year.
LEON has also introduced a new menu item to coincide with the new store, as well as Veganuary. Cheesy vegan jackfruit 'wings' in a gluten-free crumb will now be available at both locations for €4.95, so once we try this new addition, we'll let you know our thoughts. The 'wings' are already available on menus in the UK and have been getting great reviews, so we have high hopes for this vegan dish.
The new outlet on Millennium Walkway is the first of four planned openings for 2020, so we would be surprised if we don't see the Dundrum Town Centre location open its doors at some stage, but this has not been confirmed as of yet.
LEON Millennium Walkway is located at 7 Millennium Walkway, Dublin 1.
