Had your fill of eggs benny? We've got just the thing.
The Dublin brunch scene has been thriving in recent years with impressive additions added to the list almost weekly. However, this restaurant explosion has meant that gastronomic thrill-seekers can easily get sick of trying the same menu in every establishment.
Attempting to fill this niche is Kinara Kitchen, an award-winning Middle Eastern restaurant in Ranelagh village that has just created a brand new brunch experience complete with huge flavours, fresh cocktails and Sunday Funday vibes.
Their new menu comprises of a myriad of thalis – the ubiquitous Indian lunch – which is traditionally served on a metal platter with small, fitted bowls known as katori and features a number of dishes, so the person eating can sample everything.
On offer are dishes like beef tenderloin, chicken breast marinated in ginger, garlic and yoghurt and vegan chickpea curry.
As well as that, special dishes such as lobster jalfrezi, Pakistani roast chicken, leg of lamb, a selection of biryanis, spicy lamb, potato and cheese fritters, calamari, pakora or tandoori prawns are also on offer, as well as a selection of specially-made cocktails from just €7.
Dish prices range between €20 - €30 with a number of platters set to be shared between two. And, as well as this, there’s also a DJ to set a lively atmosphere for your Sunday afternoon.
Kinara Kitchen Ranelagh's Thali Sunday is open all day from 12pm - 9pm every Sunday. For bookings or to check out their full menu, visit their website or call them on 01 406 0066.
