Great food and live music - what more could you want?

As government restrictions start to lift, there is a trickle of exciting - and very welcome - news about launches and even events over the next few months.

Co Kildare's Palmerstown House Estate has announced a new summer outdoor events series, focusing on music, food and culture. Picnic at the Manor takes place over the August bank holiday weekend (Friday July 30 – Sunday Aug 1).

Guests will be able to book socially distanced pods with a picnic table that seats four to six people – and tickets will be sold in these pod bundles.

The food partner for the August bank holiday event is Michelin star chef, Derry Clarke who will be showcasing his swing grill and smokehouse over the weekend. His menu focuses on the best of Irish ingredients and will include a range of meats, seafood, sharing platters and more.

And, along with great food, there will be live music too with musical guests at the events including Smash Hits, Spring Break, Na Fianna and The Swing Cats.

The events will have two sittings on both Saturday and Sunday, (a matinee from 12pm - 5pm and an evening session from 6pm - 11pm) with an evening slot on the Bank Holiday Friday too.

Tickets are priced from €30pp + booking fee and they’re on sale now via atthemanor.ie
