Dublin Is The Most Vegan-Friendly City In The World

The Irish capital topped the list of global cities.


It may come as a bit of a surprise but according to luxury travel company Hayes & Jarvis, the Irish capital tops a global list of vegan-friendly restaurants.

Hayes & Jarvis analysed information on popular travel website TripAdvisor, looking at the 50 most-visited cities in the world. It ranked which cities have the highest proportion of a particular restaurant category and the highest proportion of 4.5- to 5-star restaurants in the category.

Dublin came in with 21.2 per cent of restaurants classified as vegan-friendly, with Phuket in Thailand in at number two and Amsterdam in Holland at number three.

When it came to the destinations with the best vegan fare, Shenzhen in China was found to have the best quality vegan food (91.2 per cent of its vegan restaurants have been rated 4.5 stars or above), followed by Cancun, Mexico (85.2 per cent) and Macau, China (82 per cent).
