The Grow with Aldi supplier development programme is back for 2020 and is giving artisan Irish food and drink companies the chance to have their products stocked in Aldi Ireland stores.

Developed in partnership with Bord Bia, the programme helps small and medium producers gain experience and exposure for their products. Over the last two years, it has resulted in over €2m in sales for the Grow with Aldi suppliers.

Participants will be able to avail of mentoring and workshops with the Aldi buying and marketing teams and Bord Bia technical experts as well as seeing their products on the shelves.

This year, Aldi will pick up to 60 products entered as part of the ‘Grow with Aldi’ Specialbuys event at the end of May 2020 then five will be chosen to go into stores as part of the permanent range. Last year hundreds of products were put forward for the programme, with six earning a spot in Aldi Ireland stores:

Speaking about the initiative, John Curtin, Aldi Ireland Group Buying Director, said: “The quality of food and drink produced in Ireland is outstanding and we are very much looking forward to sampling all of the products that enter this year.”
