The luxurious Belfast hotel is celebrating his tenth birthday with a new exciting cocktail list, inspired by The Grand Opera House.
Since opening its doors to the public in March 2009, The Fitzwilliam has become one of the most renowned hotels in Belfast, gaining the affectionate nickname “the Fitz” among the locals.
Over the years, the five-star hotel has made its mark in the booming tourism industry in Northern Ireland. Benefiting from its central location on the animated Great Victoria Street, the bar has become a popular hangout for visitors and locals alike, who appreciate its elegant design and lively atmosphere.
To celebrate the tenth anniversary, the team of mixologists at the Fitzwilliam has launched a brand-new cocktail menu inspired by the Grand Opera House, using local tipples as well as some globally-renowned spirits and liqueurs. The Pineapple Fizz mixes Belfast-made Jawbox Pineapple & Ginger Gin and Prosecco, the Leading Lady combines Grey Goose La Vanille vodka with Chambord and peach liqueur, while The Artist uses Slane Irish Whiskey and Spanish Oloroso Sherry. As for The Spotlight, it is a nice association of Shortcross Gin, made in Co Down, Disaronno liqueur, orange and lemon juice.
James O’Donnell, Beverage Manager at The Fitzwilliam Hotel said: “To celebrate ten fantastic years serving delicious cocktails at the heart of Belfast, we developed an exclusive new menu inspired by the iconic Grand Opera House in Belfast which is located right next door to us. Inspired by all the flamboyance and drama of a great show, our expert mixologist team incorporated unique flavours and textures to create a stunning selection of cocktails, perfect for an evening in the city.”
You can enjoy 2 cocktails for £10 every Friday between 4 pm and 7 pm at the Fitzwilliam Hotel, but if you feel like trying the creative combinations yourself, the mixologists have shared some of their favourite cocktails from the new menu.
