The fantastic Grow Cook Eat wraps up its second series this week, with a final episode on Wednesday 24th of April.
Presented by the founder of Grow It Yourself (GIY) Michael Kelly and the GIY Head of Community Development Karen O’Donohoe, the show is aimed at those who don’t know a huge amount about growing their own food.
Informative and practical, it offers step-by-step guides to growing vegetables, as well as information on things like water harvesting and improving soil fertility.
While much of the show is based in Grow HQ in Waterford city, each episode also sees the pair visit food producers and communities across the country. In the final episode, chef Katie Sanderson makes an Indian chilli pickle, plus Michael and Grow HQ head chef JB Dubois discuss how growers can make the most of a harvest.
And, with one eye on next year, Michael and Karen sign off with some advice on the top five things growers need to do to prepare for the following growing season.
The final episode of Grow Cook Eat airs on RTE 1 at 8.30pm on Wednesday 24th April 2019.
