Premium vodka brand Grey Goose has created new technology that looks like it will revolutionise the world of cocktails and spirits.

Thanks to lots of intense research, the new Grey Goose system has been designed to help quickly and easily serve sub-zero temperature drinks. The new system can also be charged with carbon or nitrogen to create creamy or sparkling drinks.

The new draught tap system has been created to tie in with the newly popular millennial drink trend of cocktails on tap or draught. Similar systems have started to pop up around the world, with Café Bombo and Proof Pizza in Dublin showcasing their cocktails taps at their recent grand opening.

The Grey Goose cocktail machine, which was created by the spirit's parent company Bacardi, is the first of its kind to ensure that the spirits don't require pre-chilling. Once activated, the tap passes the spirit through a combination of coolers and heat exchange units to reach sub-zero temperatures, ensuring the cocktail comes out tasting smooth and cool.

Speaking about the new technology, Lee Applbaum, global chief marketing officer for Grey Goose, said that the system will revolutionise the cocktail industry.

“The new draught tap system is a groundbreaking innovation that captures the imagination of cocktail culture and places Grey Goose at the heart of more occasions and celebrations; bringing more opportunities for cocktail lovers to treat themselves, without having to compromise on the quality of their drinks. Grey Goose is a versatile spirit that enhances every occasion and serve, from the classics to contemporary. The new, innovative draught tap system has been designed with this versatility in mind, allowing bars to cater for a wide assortment of drinks now and into the future.”

The new system will be on show at pop-up events around the UK over the summer.
