Food has always been at the heart of the iconic Hotel Meyrick which is located on Eyre Square right in the heart of Galway city. No. 15 was recently awarded an AA Rosette and under the careful guidance of Head Chef, Phillip Dunleavy, No 15 is a special place delivering exceptional food in beautiful surroundings. It is the epitome of Irish hospitality where the guest is always the focus and they are provided with a relaxed and inclusive experience.
Enjoy a stunning five-course set menu, with expertly paired wines from JN Wine. JN Wine are an Independent wine merchant offering high quality wines sourced from family and artisan wineries around the world and are proud to work with Maison Ventenac wines on this special dinner. Thomas Buttner from Maison Ventenac shall introduce each wine served on the evening and his wealth of experience and information will be shared with those attending.
Domaine de Ventenac is found about 10km north of Carcassonne in the appellation of Cabardes which, because of its location between the Massif Central on one side and the Pyrenees on the other, enjoys a climate which is an interesting mix of Mediterranean and Atlantic influences ensuring ideal conditions for growing all sorts of grape varieties. Maison Ventenac is passionate about all the wines but has introduced a new range called Les Dissidents which are non sulphur wine, fresh and juicy with underlying minerality showing the terroir in which the vines are grown.
