It may still be January - will this month ever end? - but it's also the weekend, and that means more time to devote to food.
Here are five things we want to eat over the next couple of days.
The passionfruit, chocolate and hazelnut eclair at Spitalfields
We reckon we could put away the dessert special at this gastro-pub in the Liberties area of Dublin in two bites.
The brill with brown butter at Brunel's
Chef Paul Cunningham is serving up this super-fresh fish this weekend in Brunel's, his restaurant in the seaside village of Newcastle in Co Down. He's lightly curing it in brown butter, then serving it on smoked onion skin with artichokes and mushrooms. Yes please!
The banarsi narangi kofta at Pickle
Sunil Ghai has done it again, introducing some divine new dishes to the menu in his restaurant on Camden Street in Dublin. These cottage cheese and vegetable dumplings are stuffed with mango, ginger and cashew nuts, then served in a creamy tomato sauce infused with orange and cardamon.
The veggie tagine at Pudding Row
Healthy deliciousness in a bowl at this seaside bakery and cafe in west Sligo. Be sure to have some cake afterwards, for balance.
The flatbreads at Orso
You'll be stuffed to the gills after one of the topped flatbreads at this restaurant in Cork city. Try the chicken kofta with black olive, preserved lemon, sweet hummus and aioli.
