#ShopForIreland this weekend

We're doing what we can to help local Irish businesses.

Even though we're all still practising social distancing and most of us are working from home, we still want to help support Irish food and drink producers.

We've decided to help our readers #ShopForIreland so we'll be posting every day to highlight producers around Ireland. Get in touch on our social channels with your suggestions on who we should write about.

Liath To Go

One of Ireland's best restaurants has announced a brand new to-go serve. Michelin-starred restaurant Liath in Blackrock temporarily closed down at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, but owner Damien Grey announced on Instagram that he will be operating a small to-go operation for the foreseeable future.

Every week, a new starter, main course and eventually, a dessert, will be on offer, with full instructions and guides available for customers on how to reheat and assemble. To book your slot, click here – only 30 people can be served daily. There's also an option to add a gratuity which will be shared between Liath staff and those at the HSE. Head to @liathtogo on Instagram for more information.

Adapt, Evolve and Create. In the last couple of weeks our lives have been turned upside down. So we have had to #adapt to these new restrictions and #evolve into something we didn’t set out to do, finally we will create exciting dishes that are simple for you to reheat and assemble in the comfort of your own home. This is very new project for us and we hope you will support us through the coming months while we try to #staysafe with our no-contact takeout service @liathrestaurant @liathtogo Please note for the safety of our staff, this will be a one person operation that is trying to survive and support our suppliers and staff who have had to be temporarily laid off until it is safe to return to work, there will be a donation link for anyone who wishes to leave a gratuity which will be shared between the liath staff and a percentage donated to our HSE staff. Strictly no one is to enter the restaurant at anytime. #takeaway #covid_19
