A taste of the Wild Atlantic Way comes to Kilkenny for one night only on March 29.
Chef John Kelly of the Lady Helen restaurant at Mount Juliet Estate will welcome chef Aidan McGrath from Clare’s Wild Honey Inn, as the Michelin star awarded chefs and friends present an experience inspired by local ingredients and landscapes.
Guests will be welcomed to the Manor House at Mount Juliet Estate to enjoy a drinks reception where they can taste the stunning Moongate Gin, a collaboration between chef John Kelly and the famous Kilkenny Highbank Orchards Distillery.
Guests will then be escorted to the Lady Helen restaurant, where the warm and relaxed atmosphere synonymous with the Wild Honey Inn will be evident on the evening. Each chef will introduce themselves and their menu, with wine pairings and menu flavours discussed.
Later, dessert will be accompanied by a specially selected Nespresso coffee for a satisfying finish to this fine dining experience. Finally, guests will be invited to repair to the newly refurbished 1759 bar where they will be treated to a digestif.
“We are absolutely delighted to welcome Chef Aidan McGrath to the Lady Helen and are really looking forward to this dining experience,” says Mr Mark Dunne, Mount Juliet Estate general manager. “John and Aidan are great friends and are now able to translate their enthusiasm for creating wonderful food to what we hope will be a sensational dining experience.”
