We want you to #ShopForIreland today

Three ways to support Irish businesses today.

SHARE

Even though we're all still practising social distancing and most of us are working from home, we still want to help support Irish food and drink producers.

We've decided to help our readers #ShopForIreland so we'll be posting every day to highlight producers around Ireland. Get in touch on our social channels with your suggestions on who we should write about.

Lidl to support Irish cheesemakers

Many cheesemakers have been hugely impacted by the coronavirus pandemic so Lidl Ireland has committed to supporting five of the best through their upcoming artisan cheese sale. The range, which will arrive instore on Thursday, June 11th, will see 11 cheeses from across the country appear in stores all over Ireland while stocks last. The five artisan cheese suppliers are Cooleeney Farm from Tipperary, Wicklow Farmhouse Cheese, Knockanore Farmhouse Cheese in Waterford, and Bluebell Falls from Cork. Prices start from €2.99 so make sure you head to Lidl this week to try some exceptional Irish cheeses. Try using these cheeses in a cracking cheeseboard or in one of our favourite cheesy recipes

Homespun online store

Homespun, which sells granola with a twist, has launched its website and online store, allowing customers from all over the country to order for delivery. Founded by Erica Sheehan, Homespun sells quinoa-based granola in a variety of flavours. The tasty granola is available in some stores around the country like Supervalu, Avoca and Donnybrook Fair, but the new online store allows you to buy your breakfast directly from the source, helping to support this small, Irish company.
