For many people, The Shelbourne on Dublin’s St Stephen’s Green is an essential part of Christmas celebrations.

Since 1824, families and friends have gathered in the hotel to celebrate the festive season and spend time with loved ones. From the beautiful lights that adorn the exterior of the building to unmissable traditions such as the festive afternoon tea, a visit to The Shelbourne is sure to get you into the Christmas mood.

Festive Afternoon Tea (begins 25 November)

The Shelbourne’s festive afternoon tea is a firm Christmas season tradition for Dubliners and visitors making a festive trip to the city. The hotel’s much-loved afternoon tea menu transforms into a medley of festive delights at this time of year. Advanced booking is necessary.

Festive Dining in The Saddle Room (begins 1 December)

The Saddle Room has a very special atmosphere at Christmas time and it’s the perfect setting for a special dinner or gathering with friends and family. Festive lunch and dinner menus are offered throughout the month of December and all menus include tea, coffee and mince pies. There are also two private dining rooms available if you're looking for something extra special.

And, while it may seem a little early to be talking about Christmas, bookings for The Shelbourne’s Festive Afternoon Tea and festive dining in The Saddle Room are now open. Demand is always high so reserving your spot early will ensure you can then sit back and look forward to enjoying all that Christmas magic in the heart of Dublin.
