At some point, our world will return to normal - even if it is a new normal. But where will we go for our first night out?
We asked some well-known names in the Irish food and drinks industry to tell us what they're planning when restrictions are lifted. Today, we spoke to Zarah Lawless, who is head of wholesale at Calendar Coffee in Galway:
"I plan to head straight for Tigh Neactain's to find a cosy corner by the fire. I'll order a big bowl of their Atlantic creamy chowder and while I'm waiting, I'll probably knock back a Guinness or two. I love their seedy treacle bread to mop the chowder up and, of course, a side of their Parmesan and polenta fries!
I'll wait for all that to digest and take a wander around town, before poking my head into The Universal for a glass of Beaujolais and a few small plates. I'll probably order a side of spuds here too because I don't know how they make potatoes taste so good!"
Calendar Coffee is used in cafés around the country but you can order beans and more for yourself here.
