Café en Seine is set to highlight some of the most prominent women in the Irish drinks industry next month at its second Women & Whiskey event next month.
Taking place on Wednesday, March 11th, Women & Whiskey Volume 2 will see women of the Irish whiskey industry lead a panel discussion, showcasing the beauty of Irish whiskey and the distilleries that produce it.
Guests at the second event of the Women & Whiskey series include Caroline Martin, master distiller at Roe & Co. and who has spent the last 33 years working in the whiskey industry with Diageo. She’s passionate about sensory analysis and whiskey flavour and has previously worked with Johnnie Walker and J&B Scotch.
Joining Caroline on the panel is Bronagh Kelly, vathouse technician at Midleton Distillery. Bronagh kick-started her career on the Jameson Graduate Programme, working on innovation and new product development and now plays a role in producing some of the world's best Irish whiskey. Tracey Flinter, general manager at Pearse Lyons Distillery in the heart of the Liberties. Tracey has been the manager since September 2017 and so far has welcomed 60,000 visitors from across the globe. She was the European communications manager for global parent brand, Alltech before taking up the position as general manager in the family-owned distillery.
