Avoca Ballsbridge Wine Tasting Evening

Tuesday, November 5th

The second event in the Avoca Wine Club will see sommelier John Hoade lead an interactive wine tasting all about lesser-known grapes. Maeve O'Malley of Meltdown Dublin, which is currently in residence at Avoca Ballsbridge, will collaborate with Liberty Wines to provide guests with delicious cheeseboards. Tickets for this special event are €35, which includes the wine tasting and delicious sharing cheeseboards from Meltdown. Food Photography And Styling Weekend

Friday, November 8th and Saturday, November 9th at Castlewood House, Dingle

Hosted by Dingle Cookery School and Monika Coghlan of Pepperazzi Food Styling and Photography, this weekend is perfect for the budding food photographer in your life. 

The weekend includes two nights in a bay view room at Castlewood House Dingle with drinks on arrival, afternoon tea and breakfast.

The course includes a photography masterclass, a demo from Mark Murphy of Dingle Cookery School highlighting food styling plus a food tour around Dingle.

Cloudy Bay With SOLE Seafood Towers

SOLE Seafood & Grill has announced a new partnership with New Zealand's famous Cloudy Bay wine. Cloudy Bay, one of the first five wineries to be established in the Marlborough region, recently released its 2019 Sauvignon Blanc, the deliciously expressive result of an excellent vintage and will apparently be remembered as such. To get your hands on a bottle of this great wine, head to any independent wine specialist shop nationwide, priced at €35.15 (RRP). 

The SOLE Afternoon Tower, which includes Howth smoked salmon, Dublin Bay prawn cocktail and more, will now be part of a new deal for €95.50 per person and comes with a bottle of Cloudy Bay Sauvignon Blanc (running until February 2020). A similar deal is available for the SOLE Seafood Tower and SOLE Captain Seafood Tower, both of which are indulgent sharing options. For more information, click here.

Game Tasting Menu At The Saddle Room, The Shelbourne

This November, The Saddle Room at The Shelbourne will be showcasing a special seasonal game tasting menu created by chef Garry Hughes paired with special matching wines selected by Nisea Doddy.

The menu will feature a range of seasonal dishes including duck consommé, wild game terrine, roast venison and more. The seasonal menu is priced at €60 per person or €100 per person with wine pairings. The menu is available from November 1st-28th and January 6th-31st. Click here for more information.
