Vintage by Villa Maria was recently launched in Ireland at The Stella Cinema in Ranelagh and we have all the pictures from the night.
Vintage, Villa Maria's new documentary, was created in collaboration with American filmmaker Colin West and gives an exclusive look behind the scenes at the New Zealand winery, showing how their world-renowned wine is created.
Vintage follows Villa Maria's team, including chief winemaker Nick Picone, Malborough viticulturist Stuart Dudley, chief viticulturist Ollie Powrie and viticulture cadet Jessica Marston, as they cope with unforeseen challenges, varying climates, frost-filled early mornings and 24-hour-days. The film crew followed the team for 40 of their busiest days in 2019, documenting the production of the year's stellar wine.
The exclusive Irish premiere was held in The Stella Theatre in Ranelagh, with viticulturist Stuart Dudley and the Business Post wine correspondent, Tomás Clancy. On the night, Ireland's wine community gathered to enjoy some stellar Villa Maria wines and nibbles while watching Vintage, before partaking in a Q&A with Stuart and Tomás.
Only 50 lucky guests were in attendance on the night, so if you weren't there, you'll get your chance to watch Villa Maria Vintage on Virgin Media 3 on Sunday, March 1st at 6pm. The documentary will also be available on the Virgin Media Player until the end of April.
