Swan Lake Pre-Theatre Meals, Cork

September 10th and 11th

Teac Damsa's award-winning production of Swan Lake/Loch ba hEala will play the Cork Opera House this week and to celebrate, five gorgeous eateries will offer fantastic pre-theatre menus. The participating restaurants are Good Day Deli, Pigalle, The Ivory Tower (who recently shut their doors, but are re-opening especially for this event), Paradiso, and Isaac’s Restaurant. Avoca Welcomes Donal Skehan

To celebrate his newest book Super Food In Minutes,Donal Skehan will be visiting two Avoca outlets this week. On Thursday, 12 September from 11.30 - 1pm, Donal will be in Avoca Malahide, signing copies of his new release, while offering up samples of his newest dishes. Then, on Monday, 16th September from 7pm-9pm, Donal will be in the Fern House Café in Avoca Kilmacanogue conducting a live cookery event. Tickets, which cost €40 per person include a glass of bubbles on arrival, delicious tasty treats and a signed copy of this new book so you can enjoy recreating some of Donal’s delicious recipes at home. Kilmeaden Cheese To Take Over Meltdown, Temple Bar

For two weeks only, Kilmeaden Cheese will be taking over Meltdown on Curve Street to serve up some special cheesy toasties. The special menu has been curated by James Kavanagh, one half of the duo behind The Currabinny Cookbook, featuring “The Spice Up Your Life by James Kavanagh” which was inspired by his love for the Spice Girls and sees spicy salami and jalapeños paired with with Kilmeaden Mature Red Cheddar melted on artisan handcrafted sourdough bread. The partnership will run until September 22nd so get down quick!

Saba's September Lobsterfest

September 9th-22nd

Saba's Lobsterfest is back again for another year, promising delicious Irish seafood served up Saba-style. Dishes include oysters with Thai herbs and lime sauce, steamed half Kilkeel lobster with lemongrass and chilli lime dressing and gorgeous cocktails. To book a table, click here

Coffee Mornings For Pieta House At M&S

M&S are doing some good this September by raising money for their charity partner Pieta house. As part of the retailer's goal to raise €100,000 for Pieta House in 2019, September will see M&S stores around the country donate €1 of every hot drink sold instore on Fridays in September to Pieta House.
