The Smokin' Butcher And Darina Allen Team Up To Launch National Black Pudding Day

The Headfort Arms Hotel, Sunday, November 2nd and 3rd at 2pm

This Sunday, The Smokin' Butcher Hugh Maguire and Darina Allen will team up at the Samhain Festival in County Meath to launch the first National Black Pudding Day. As part of the launch, the duo will co-host a black pudding masterclass to showcase the art of making black pudding, as well as giving tips and tricks to the audience. Tickets cost €10 and can be purchased here

Gill Meller & Rodrigo Gonzalez - A Day Of Woodfire Cooking And Eating

Saturday, November 2nd at Burtown House & Gardens and The Green Barn, Athy

As part of The Taste The Island festival, Gill Meller of River Cottage will team up with Rodrigo Gonzalez of The Green Barn in Athy to host a day of wood-fired cooking. Using only produce from the gardens, the pair will create a feast that celebrates cooking over fire. During the afternoon, guests will join Rodrigo and head gardener Dermot Carey to gather produce from the gardens, which will be prepped chefs and guests in the open-plan kitchen. Dinner will take place at 7pm highlighting food from the gardens. Tickets start at €80 and can be purchased here

Experience The Rare At Adare Manor

Monday, November 4th

On Monday, November 4th, Adare Manor will play host to Midleton Very Rare for a special Experience The Rare evening.  Brian Nation, Master Distiller at Midleton Distillery, and Ger Garland of Pernod-Ricard will guide guests through conduct a guided tasting of some of the country's finest whiskeys. Following this, guests will enjoy a three-course dinner created by Adare Manor's Michelin-starred chefs before enjoying the evening in The Tack Room. This unique experience costs €2,200 per person, including the Middleton whiskey tasting, dinner, an overnight stay in a deluxe room and breakfast in The Gallery.  Ticketholders may bring a guest to join them at the event, sharing the same room, for an additional €250. For guests wishing to reserve a place, please contact the Adare Manor Guest Relations team on +353 (0)61 605 271. Roz Purcell Teams Up With O'Donnells Crisps To Launch Two New Flavours

Ireland's number one hand-cooked crisp brand, O'Donnells Crisps, has announced two new flavours inspire by Roz Purcell, cousin of the O'Donnell family. The two new flavours are full of flavour and perfect for autumn. The first variety, Spiced Chutney, has a mild spice flavour, while the Aromatic Sweet'n'Sour has a zingy, fruity flavour. These new crisps are only available until December, so make sure you try them while you can.
