This summer was all about Schweppes, as the drinks brand held a range of pop-up experiences around the country. While summer might be just about over, Schweppes have one last event planned for the year to make sure that everyone can enjoy their #UltimateMixer sessions.
This summer saw Schweppes travel the length and breadth of the country, offering their unique #UltimateMixer drinks experiences at a variety of bars and festivals. The #UltimateMixer Sessions were launched at Opium on June 6th. Guests were treated to a range of signature Schweppes cocktails in the venue's Botanical Garden, while Riff Shop provided some killer tunes throughout the evening. Schweppes new range of premium mixers has been perfectly blended to compliment both dark and light spirits so the Opium mixologists were able to showcase a range of different flavours in the night's premium cocktails.
The first #UltimateMixer Session was a total hit with guests, which included DJ January Russell Winters, style blogger Lawson Mpame and food bloggers, Patrick Hanlon and Russell Alford from the Gastro Gays, as well as TV presenter Ciara O’Doherty, FM104’s Man About Town Rob Kenny and more.
This event was the perfect way to kick off summer, giving guests a look at what Schweppes had in store for them at events and festivals throughout the season.
All Together Now And The Big Grill Festival
The next stop for the Schweppes #UltimateMixer Sessions was All Together Now 2019. This was the festival's second year, so music-lovers from all around the country headed to Waterford for the sold-out weekend. DJ Tara Stewart joined the crowds to dance the night away to musical fusions from acts such as Today FM’s Kelly Anne Byrne, Five To Two, Arman Giorgio, Cooks But We’re Chefs and more. Schweppes was the festival's official mixer, showcasing bold cocktail combinations at the festival's coolest chill-out zone.
The #UltimateMixer Sessions were also a big hit at this summer's food festivals. The Schweppes bar and chill zone at Taste of Dublin provided guests with a uniquely cool space, which was also present at Eatyard's Wine and Cheese Festival, which was held in the Iveagh Gardens for the first time ever.
The Schweppes area at The Big Grill Festival, Europe's largest barbecue festival, was massively popular this year for its daring cocktail combinations, that were enjoyed by the likes of TV presenter James Patrice, fashion stylist Clementine MacNeice, DJ January Winters, blogger Niamh O’Sullivan and more. The cocktail menu included the Schweppes Ultimate G&T, Zingy Vodka Tonic, Margarita Fizz, and the alcohol-free Schweppes Slinger. While the guests were enjoying their delicious cocktails, they were able to enjoy great tunes from the bands and DJs like Claire Beck, DJ BBQ, Handsome Paddy, Electric Dream and Caz9.
While the summer is just about over, Schweppes has one last event scheduled for the year. On September 19th, Busker Brownes in Galway will host the last Schweppes #UltimateMixer event of the year, which looks set to be a good one! Riff Shop will be teaming up with Schweppes again to play some killer tunes and delicious Schweppes cocktails will be on offer all night. Entry to this event is free, but it sounds like it will be busy, so make sure to get down early!
