Eatyard's Winter Wine & Cheese Festival kicks off this Friday, November 22nd at Jam Park in Swords and will run through the next three weekends.

After the success of their inaugural Wine & Cheese Festival this summer at the Iveagh Gardens, Eatyard has decided to illuminate the dark November and December days with a winter edition. With the idea to showcase the fun side of the most iconic duo without the intimidation, this event is kicking off on Friday, November 22nd in Jam Park, Swords.

Over three weekends, November 22nd-23rd, December 6th-7th and December 13h-14th, the adult playground will welcome wine and cheese fans (over 20s only), Christmas parties and casual get-togethers.

Wine On Tap And Cheese On A Board

The event will gather some of the best wine and cheese merchants and producers from around the country. The wine offerings will include a selection on tap from Winelab, delights from biodynamic experts Le Caveau, a 'Rhone Burgundy' bar from Station to Station Wine and the Brewtonic Winter Warmers, a range of seasonal mulled drinks. L’Atitude 51 from Cork will also take part, with So Prosecco and Graham Norton's Christmas wine completing the line-up. The Sip Sip Hooray wine chats will also offer attendees a chance to get to know those wines a bit better.

When it comes to the cheese section, expect a brie-lliant selection including Sheridans, Corleggy Cheese, Blues Creamery, and Coolatin, while The Wooded Pig will bring their range of Irish charcuterie made with free-range Irish meat. At The Eatyard Cheese Shop, festival-goers can expect cheese plates, fondue, mac & cheese bites, cheesecake and more. For those in for some substantial comfort food, Decent Sandwich will provide Christmas toasties, cheesy bread bowls, or cheeseburgers.

Games Galore

As if eating cheese and drinking wine weren't enough of an incentive, the Eatyard team has planned some fun games such as Crimbo Limbo, a Christmas Cracker Challenge, Wine Pong, or Christmas Karaoke to keep the crowd happy and merry. The Jam Park party rooms will also be available for private karaoke parties, Paradise Golf, a session at the retro arcade or drinks on the rooftop.

Tickets are priced €15 and include entry, wine on arrival, cheesy treat, access to the wine and cheese vendors and all the entertainment. Group booking deals and add-ons, such as wine masterclasses, are also available.
