Andy Noonan, owner of Baste BBQ on Dublin's Clanbrassil Street, is set to join the Dublin City Brewing Tasting Club for its upcoming April session.
We're big fans of Andy Noonan here at FOOD&WINE Magazine - Baste BBQ serves some of our favourite nachos in Dublin and if you haven't tried them, you need to ASAP! In the April edition of the magazine, which comes out on Sunday, April 4, Alex Meehan chats with Andy about Baste and his love for cooking over fire. To read the interview, make sure to pick up your copy of FOOD&WINE Magazine tomorrow free with the Business Post or subscribe online at businesspost.ie/select-plan for full access.
In the meantime, if you're missing the pub a little this month, then you need to hear about the Dublin City Brewing Tasting Club's partnership with Andy Noonan.
On April 29th, Dublin City Brewing Company's head brewer Fergal Murray will be joined by Andy to host a tasting of three beers and talk about how the drinks pair with food. On the night, Andy will demonstrate how to make his Pale Ale Sauce for grilled chicken using the Baste All-Purpose BBQ Rub, Patriot Pale Ale and some honey.
"Barbecued food and beers go together beautifully," Fergal told us speaking about the upcoming event. "Now that we're finally enjoying some sunshine, I can't wait to get some tips from Ireland's leading pitmaster Andy Noonan. And I hope I can share some of my beer knowledge with him and all our guests to further explore this style of cooking with our lagers and ales."
The tasting club will take place on Thursday, April 29 at 7.30pm via Zoom. Tickets cost 20 per person and include 3 x 440 ml Dublin City Brewing cans (1 Renegade Red Ale, 1 Pioneer Pilsner, 1 Patriot Pale Ale), a branded glass and a sample of Baste's All-Purpose BBQ Rub & Seasoning.
