If you’re always on the lookout for different wines to try, new Irish subscription service Box of Wine could be just the thing.
It was set up earlier this year by Conor Duggan, Neil O’Reilly and Conor Mulligan, three young entrepreneurs with extensive experience working in the hospitality, bar and wine industries.
“We want to make the world of wine a less intimidating place, to expand your palate and to introduce fantastic, great value wine you won’t find in your local supermarket,” co-founder Conor Mulligan explains.
The concept is simple: fill out a short questionnaire on your wine tastes and each month you’ll get a personalised trio of wines, complete with tasting notes, to your door. You can give your thoughts on the selection after you've tried them to help the team fine-tune future picks.
There’s an introductory price of €49 per month for the monthly wine box and there are also gift boxes available too. They feature a bottle of bubbly teamed with artisan Irish gifts such as Ochre candles, Skellig chocolates and more with prices starting at €60.
