Whiskey Hot Chocolate

A delicious dessert option



  • 150g dark chocolate
  • 150ml water
  • 25g caster sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cornflour
  • 50ml Irish whiskey


  1. 1.Chop up the chocolate. Add it to the water and sugar. Place it in a saucepan and melt over a low heat.
  2. Pour the water and sugar into a saucepan and add the cornflour. Whisk until the cornflour is dissolved. Cook over a medium heat, whisking all the time until it comes to the boil.
  3. Break up the chocolate and begin stirring until the chocolate is completely melted. Then add in the shot of whiskey.
