The perfect drink to come home to after a long day.

Unleash your inner Carrie Bradshaw...

A classic cosmopolitan is up there as one of the easiest cocktails you can make at home. No seriously, it is fool-proof. Made up of just four ingredients (all of which you most definitely have gathering dust on your bar cart), a cosmo is a partly sweet, partly tart cocktail that all together tastes as electric as it looks. And its look—rich pink liquid, Martini glassware—is undeniable bold. You don't order (or make) a Cosmo if you're trying to be low-key. It's an about-town kind of drink. And if you do happen to be mixing it in the privacy of your home, well, that sounds like one hell of a night to party solo.

The cosmopolitan became almost ubiquitous in the '90s thanks to the hit TV show Sex and the City, but this spin on the martini remains just as tasty today as when Carrie Bradshaw made it famous. Some recipes call for citrus-flavoured vodka, but unflavored vodka works just fine. Some prefer to squeeze a fresh lime rather than use shop-bought but both work just fine.

But to really perfect your cosmo making skills, we reached out to the experts over at Cointreau who have shared this super simple Cosmopolitan recipe with us. Grab your cocktail shaker and let happy hour commence.
