Figurehead
By Peggy Kah
Named after the carved wooden decoration found at the bow of a ship, this cocktail teams sweet and spiced flavours with the smoothness of the whiskey.
Ingredients
40 ml Grace O'Malley Blended Irish whiskey
20 ml Caribbean pineapple liqueur (such as Giffard Pineapple Liqueur)
2 dashes of Angostura Aromatic Bitters
Top up with ginger ale
Orange peel to garnish
Method
Pour all ingredients except the ginger ale into a long drink glass and mix well with a stirrer. Fill with ice cubes, pour on ginger ale and garnish with a spiral of orange peel. It should look like a figurehead in the glass.
