Ox Cave

Ox Cave

Calling all wine lovers, from the connoisseur to the eager and enthusiastic novice. These restaurants are for you.

We're equal opportunists when it comes to wining and dining. What can we say? It's a winning combination. Some restaurants however, go above and beyond the usual selection and the offering is just too good to ignore. So, we've compiled a list of locations for the ultimate wine lovers amongst us.

Whelehans Wines:

Set up by David Whelehan, Whelehans Wines has become a treasure trove for people who are passionate about wine. The superb collection and helpful and knowledgable staff show that even the smallest of establishments can hold their own once the experience is there. Pop in for a bite and pick up a few bottles to bring home in the adjoining wine shop.

Ox Belfast:

Wonderful things can happen when people combine forces, as friends, Stephen and Alain discovered upon opening Ox Belfast in 2013. Alain's experience as a sommelier and restaurant manager coupled with Stephen's imagination and creativity for food, has ensured that Ox is one of the best eateries in the North, complete with the awards to prove it. The diverse drink and wine menus feature local microbreweries and unique wine makers.

l'Atitude 51:

This Cork City based wine bar serves up simple bistro-style fare with a wide selection of wines. The focus is centred towards organic, biodynamic and natural wines and the car in which they are chosen is evident from the varied and curated offerings.
