Accommodation at Hotel Isaacs
The two- and three-room apartments are bright, spacious and contemporary, with the décor drawing on a Scandinavian aesthetic, featuring solid wood oak floors, plush carpets and vibrant pops of colour. The apartments are available for short or long stay guests, offering the comfort and convenience of a home, with the added security and amenities of a hotel.
The eco-friendly apartments are a key part of the group’s five-year plan to reduce their carbon footprint by 240 tonnes per year until 2021. The strategy encompasses various waste reduction policies as well as larger-scale changes of hot water storage, heating, cooling and energy control.
Each apartment features an open plan living space with a living room, dining room and a fully-integrated modern kitchen complete with Siemens appliances, dishwasher, washer-dryer, and coffee machine. All bathrooms are newly fitted with underfloor heating and a generous walk-in shower. The three-bed apartments include a master bedroom with a flatscreen TV and en-suite. The six new apartments offer free high-speed Wifi throughout and are fully climate controlled.
The guest can choose the level of room servicing they require and can arrange for shopping to be done so the fridge is fully stocked prior to arrival. The apartments are located at number 48 MacCurtain Street in Cork city centre, next door to sister venues, Greenes Restaurant and Cask.
Brunch at Cask
Cask has been wowing the public and hospitality industry alike since opening in February 2017 for its cutting edge seasonal nature-led drinks menus designed by manager and accomplished cocktail master Andy Ferreira.
Andy and his award-winning bar team, which includes the 2018 World Class Irish Bartender of Year winner Carl D’Alton, Linda O'Flynn who has just won the 2019 World Class Bartender of the Year (Andy himself won this title in 2017), have a strict ethos of basing their cocktails around the wild ingredients that grow in Ireland. The local ingredient concept is carried across to the street food-inspired tapas and small plates food menu at Cask which is designed by award-winning chef Bryan McCarthy.
The new brunch menu sees classics elevated by the use of local, quality ingredients, including Eggs Benedict on Toasted Honey Spelt Bread; Potato, Black Pudding and Beef Hash with Baked Eggs; Avocado Toast with, Bacon, Tomato, Rocket and Poached Eggs; and French Toast with Killahora Apple Syrup and berries. Lighter dining options include Granola with Natural Yogurt and Berry Compote, and Smoked Salmon with Scrambled Eggs and Chives.
Brunch dishes can be enjoyed alongside some of Cask’s innovative nature-inspired cocktail menu.
