It's the first day of the FOOD&WINE advent calendar and we have a wonderful prize up for grabs!
We know it has been an extremely long year, but luckily, the festive season is approaching, which means the FOOD&WINE advent calendar is back again. This month, we have heaps of prizes to give away, but we're starting today with a gorgeous gourmet hamper from FX Buckley Victualler & Grocer on Pembroke Street.

Located beside the original FX Buckley steakhouse on Pembroke Street in Dublin city centre, FX Buckley Victualler & Grocer opened earlier this year after all the country virtually shut down. The bespoke grocer sells great Irish produce like Sean Ring organic chickens, The Foods of Athenry products and more, as well as FX Buckley steaks and meat.
Ahead of the festive period, the grocer is offering beautiful hampers packed with delicious treats and snacks. Presented in woven wicker baskets, the team at FX Buckley Victualler & Grocer have curated each hamper to make sure that everyone gets to enjoy a delicious treat this year.

How to win
We're delighted to announce that the first prize in the 2020 FOOD&WINE advent calendar is a gourmet hamper worth €190 from FX Buckley Victualler & Grocer. This hamper features an impressive 16 treats, including the FX Buckley Steakhouse Cookbook which will help you recreate the restaurant's gorgeous dishes from the comfort of your own home.
The hamper also includes two specially selected wines: a bottle of Chateau Beaumont 2015 Haut Medoc and a Sancerre Paul Prieur, along with Egan’s organic smoked salmon, crisp savoury crackers and chutney from Sheridans, plus Hegarty’s cheddar, Cashel blue mature, Gubbeen and Edam.
On the sweeter side, the hamper includes honey from the Dublin Honey Project honey, Skellig’s Chocolate brittle, West Cork Baci Di Dama biscuits and The Merrion Hotel’s Christmas Pudding with brandy butter.
