Three brands synonymous with luxury; Ashford Castle, Midleton Very Rare Whiskey and Waterford Crystal are collaborating to create bespoke products for the castle.

Ashford Castle was built in the 13th Century and was once home to the Guinness family before becoming a hotel in 1939. In 2013, the 350 acre estate was fully renovated by the Red Carnation Collection.

The Midleton Distillery has the largest stock of maturing whiskey in the world. Waterford Crystal was first established in 1783 and has been celebrated as producing some of the finest crystal in the world.

Together the three brands will create a bespoke virgin cask for the castle, made from American oak and containing the hand-selected Irish whiskey, along with tumblers and a carafe bearing the Ashford Castle logo.

General Manager Niall Rochford said of the collaboration, "We are thrilled to be partnering with two such iconic brands, particularly ones that so closely reflect the standard and attitude toward guest experience that Ashford Castle espouses."
